Each April, members of our Board of Directors, staff, and other community supporters run the Annual 200-mile Southern California Ragnar Relay, from Huntington Beach to San Diego. These runners endure this grueling challenge to support the Center’s programs and, on average, raise more than $30,000 for the Center every year.

This year, we are hoping to enter at least 2 ultra teams (6 runners who each run 6 legs) and 2 regular 12 person teams (12 runners who each run 3 legs). The average length of a leg is 5 to 6 miles (although, historically, the legs range from a low of 2.5 miles to a high of 12 miles).

Board member Marc Reich is organizing this year’s Ragnar Fundraiser. His contact information is 949 933-2826 cell, [email protected].

Marc is going to sign up and pay for the teams with Ragnar and also rent the vans, book the mid-race hotel rooms and stock the vans with drinks and snacks, and have the runners reimburse him. He is charging $375 per person, which should approximate his costs (but he will donate any excess to The Priority Center).

The primary way The Priority Center makes money from this fundraiser is through the fundraising website we will set up for each runner.  Each runner in turn will send emails, texts and social media posts with links to their respective fundraising web pages to their contacts.  This year, we are requiring each runner to raise at least $500 (or donate the difference themselves). Those who raise $1k or more will receive a one-of-a-kind Ragnar article of clothing with The Priority Center’s logo, identifying the wearer as a Center superstar fundraiser.
