
Will Abbott
Chief Development Officer
William Abbott brings more than 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience driving strategic growth across youth development and community-based organizations. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Development at Junior Achievement of Arizona, where he oversaw a $6.6 million annual budget, delivered a 74% operating surplus, and increased individual giving by more than 65% in two years.
Previously, William held senior leadership roles with Junior Achievement in Nevada and the Boy Scouts of America in Southern California and Las Vegas. Throughout his career, he has advanced capital campaigns, transformed operating deficits into sustainable surpluses, secured multimillion-dollar investments, and built high-performing teams aligned around measurable outcomes and community impact.
William brings deep expertise in major gifts, corporate and foundation partnerships, board engagement, and long-term philanthropic strategy. His leadership reflects a commitment to financial stewardship, thoughtful growth, and strengthening partnerships to meet increasing community needs while positioning organizations for sustainable expansion.
He is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (expected 2026). William earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Arizona State University and completed executive education in Strategic Leadership at the University of Minnesota. He serves on the Business Administration Advisory Board at Scottsdale Community College and has held leadership and advisory roles with the Rotary Club of Scottsdale Foundation, the AAPI Chamber of Commerce, Sigma Lambda Beta Educational Foundation, and Rio Salado College’s DEIB Council.
In his free time, William enjoys one-bag traveling with his wife, backpacking, and exploring the path less taken. He is an avid downhill skier, practices Jiu Jitsu and martial arts, and is a proud dog dad to their six-year-old German Shepherd, Hera.
