Part-Time Temporary IT Administration Assistant

Job Summary:

First point of contact when there is a need for new technology in the company or when something breaks down. Able to troubleshoot system and network problems and provide assistance with software issues, service each call properly Assists in the overall operation of, and provide administrative support for, the Information Technology department.

  2. Monitor support ticket submissions
  3. Ensure accuracy of all work completed
  4. Continue to learn new skills to improve work efficiency


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support IT Administrator with information technology needs of the Center
  • Set up user accounts for new employees
  • Prepare computers and cellphones for new or transferred staff, including encryption
  • Oversee and maintain asset contracts
  • Assist in calendaring and scheduling of support tickets to ensure delivery of technical services to users
  • Monitor support tickets from customers and employees and attempt to resolve their issues by email or telephone
  • Provide technical support to staff on use of agency cell phones and computers
  • Assign IT peripherals and other equipment to staff
  • Setup workstations for staff when necessary
  • Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues
  • Assist and train new staff with navigating and utilizing Center IT systems, folders and software
  • Provide education to users regarding software and hardware upgrades
  • Ensure technology licenses and legal documents are up to date and monitor contracts with technology vendors
  • Conduct twice annual physical inventory of all agency assets
  • Support IT Administrator with completion of IT updates


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Act as backup in the event that the IT Administrator is offsite or unavailable
  • Collect and triage all IT and cell phone requests received by Center staff
  • Other duties as assigned


Position Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience providing IT support
  • Certificate in Information Technology or related field, desired


Working Conditions:

  • Working environment is indoor, reasonably clean, well-lighted and ventilated
  • Generally little or no probability of injury or health impairments
  • Requires little or no physical effort involving intermittent standing, sitting or walking while performing duties, occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Occasionally will have to work nights and weekends to support finance operations at special events.
