Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month

End Child Abuse, Build Hope

Did you know that in 2023, over 18,000 children in Orange County suffered from abuse and/or neglect? This sobering statistic serves as a stark reminder of the harsh realities faced by too many children in our community. At The Priority Center, our mission is clear: to end the generational cycle of trauma and abuse for children throughout our Orange County. Join The Priority Center in spreading hope and awareness this April by participating in our annual Pinwheels for Hope Campaign.

Empowering Families, Preventing Child Abuse

At The Priority Center our caseworkers are the heart and soul of our efforts. They work tirelessly to prevent trauma and child abuse by providing families with access to quality care and support. Through programs like Services for Children with Young Families, Infant-Toddler Home Visitation, and CalWORKS Home Visitation program, we empower families with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive – strengthening families and preventing child abuse and neglect.

Take Action This April

During the month of April, a month dedicated to National Child Abuse Prevention, you can take action in the following ways:

Join Us in Raising Awareness: You can make a difference by joining us in raising awareness by sharing our Pinwheels for Hope emails and social post with your friends, family and social networks.

Plant a Pinwheel Garden: This April, consider planting a pinwheel garden—a visual reminder of the world we envision for all children, a world filled with happiness, health, and hope. Whether you choose to plant pinwheels in your community garden or share pinwheel cutouts in your corporate lobby or go digital and plant an online garden, your contribution will make a meaningful impact. Every donation is a step towards preventing child abuse and neglect, towards breaking the cycle of trauma, and towards building a brighter future for all children. Together, we can create a world where every child grows up feeling safe, loved, and supported. Together, we can end the generational cycle of abuse. Join us in our mission to protect our children and strengthen families in the Orange County community.
