Andrew Phillips
Company: The Phillips Group, Inc.
Andrew Phillips is the Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer of The Phillips Group, a
modern accounting, tax, and advisory firm headquartered in Anaheim, California that
serves dentists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in more than 20 states.
The firm provides proactive tax strategy, industry-specific advisory, bookkeeping, and
financial reporting through flat-fee service plans designed to move clients beyond basic
compliance toward intentional financial leadership. Its work centers on entity structure,
profitability, practice transitions, tax-efficient wealth building, and helping healthcare
entrepreneurs build businesses that are financially sound and prepared for future
opportunity.
As Chief Growth Officer, Andrew leads the firm’s strategic direction, brand development,
and expansion initiatives. He oversees business development, strategic partnerships,
marketing, client acquisition, and overall client experience. His focus is not simply on
growth for growth’s sake, but on sustainable, values-driven expansion that protects
service quality while deepening the firm’s impact within the healthcare community. He
works closely with referral partners, dental and medical societies, and industry leaders
to position The Phillips Group as a trusted advisor for healthcare professionals
nationwide.
Within the firm, Andrew collaborates with every member of the team to refine service
offerings, enhance systems, and strengthen client communication. He plays an active
role in shaping pricing strategy, service design, and long-term firm vision, ensuring that
The Phillips Group remains proactive rather than reactive in an evolving regulatory and
economic environment.
Before co-founding the firm in 2021 with his wife Laura and acquiring a legacy family
accounting practice, Andrew served in the U.S. Army as a medic and later worked as an
emergency medical technician. Those early experiences shaped his leadership style
and commitment to service. He also served as Director of Interns and Volunteers for the
Newport Beach Film Festival, where he recruited, trained, and managed more than 50
interns and 400 volunteers for Orange County’s largest entertainment event. The eight-
day festival regularly draws more than 50,000 attendees, and Andrew oversaw the
systems, training, and team coordination required to execute at scale.
Andrew is deeply committed to serving his community. He serves on the Board of
Directors for The Priority Center, formerly the Child Abuse Prevention Center of Orange
County, an organization dedicated to ending the generational cycle of trauma. He also
actively supports a range of local charities, including P.A.T.H. (People Assisting The
Homeless), Fostering Unity, Second Harvest Food Bank, The Little Red Dog, and the
American Red Cross. He champions The Phillips Group’s Compassion Initiative, a
quarterly company-wide volunteer and philanthropy program that mobilizes resources
and hands-on service in support of local nonprofits.
Outside of work and philanthropy, Andrew enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing golf,
appreciating fine wine, and spending quality time with his wife Laura and their two dogs.
He lives in Yorba Linda, California.
