Leave a Lasting Legacy with The Priority Center
One meaningful way to support The Priority Center’s mission is by including us in your estate plans through a bequest in your will, living trust, or codicil.
A bequest allows you to care for your loved ones while also ensuring that children, youth, and families continue to receive the support they need—now and for generations to come. Many donors choose this option because it enables them to retain full use of their assets during their lifetime while creating a lasting legacy rooted in compassion, prevention, and family well-being.
Types of Bequests
There are several ways to make a bequest to The Priority Center. Your attorney can help you determine which option best aligns with your wishes.
Specific Bequest
A specific bequest designates a particular asset or dollar amount to The Priority Center. This may include:
- Personal property or other assets
- A fixed dollar amount
- Real estate
Example: You may choose to leave $10,000 or a specific property to The Priority Center.
Percentage Bequest
A percentage bequest allows you to leave a specific percentage of your total estate.
Example: You may choose to leave 10% of your estate to The Priority Center.
Residual Bequest
A residual bequest is made from the remainder of your estate after all other bequests have been distributed.
Example: You may choose to leave 25% of the residue of your estate to The Priority Center.
Contingent Bequest
A contingent bequest takes effect only if a primary beneficiary is unable to receive the gift.
Example: You may leave property to a loved one, with instructions that the gift pass to The Priority Center if that individual does not survive you.

Benefits of a Bequest
Impactful: Your gift helps ensure long-term stability for programs that strengthen families and prevent child abuse.
Flexible: Bequests are revocable and may be modified at any time.
Purpose-driven: You may designate your gift for general or specific purposes.
Tax-advantaged: Bequests are exempt from federal estate taxes and may reduce estate tax liability.
