Job Summary

The Development & Database Assistant is responsible for assisting in and supporting fundraising operations within the Development Department. The Development & Database Assistant will process, track and acknowledge gifts in the donor database and complete tasks related to fundraising, including creating fundraising reports and supporting donor cultivation and stewardship strategies that advance the mission of The Priority Center. This role will assist the entire fund development team.

**The Priority Center also offers a 9/80 work week schedule which allows for one day off every two weeks (equivalent to having an additional 26 days off per year!)**



  • Coordinate all donation processing, receipting, acknowledging, and pledge management activity in the donor database
  • Works in collaboration with development and/or accounting staff in coordinating monthly financial reconciliation, data integrity of donation information, and data input, while adhering to departmental policies and procedures
  • Create, maintain, and execute queries and reports that track fundraising progress
  • Serve as the point person for list management and execution for mailings, e-communications
  • Support development staff on distribution of newsletters, online appeals, and E-blasts
  • Works with the events team to provide pre and post event support and to assist with volunteer projects
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by fund development team.
  • Creates Development Team weekly meeting agenda.


  • Must demonstrate strong organizational and analytic skills
  • Must handle confidential donor information with sensitivity, integrity, and accuracy.
  • Must organize and prioritize work in accordance with supervisory input.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel and Microsoft Word.)
  • Exceptional time management
  • Proficient in office support skills
  • CRM experience, Bloomerang Experience
  • Basic data entry experience
  • Experience in a nonprofit setting/fundraising environment
  • Familiarity with gift processing and/or fund-raising principles
  • Must be tenaciously deadline and detail-oriented
  • Must be flexible to work outside the normal schedule to accommodate and support evening events and occasional weekend fundraising/volunteer projects
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus
